SURFACE TEXTURING

RADTEX FBSC SERIES COATINGS may be surfaced textured when processed through a Lindeâ Photo-Cure System equipped with Selective Texturing System (STS) module. The variables that control surface texturing are: coating film thickness, intensity of exposure to the lamps in the STS module, temperature of the coating when applied and the color of the substrate. Generally thin coating films produce a fine texture while thick film deposits produce a coarse surface texture. The intensity of the exposure to the STS module is controlled by, the duration of exposure, the number and position of the lamps and the dwell time between the STS module and the main curing lamps. This is controlled is controlled by the belt speed and relative position of the lamps. Typically short exposure duration will produce shallow textures while long durations produce deep surface textures.
