ICM 280B is a nonionic surfactant of the silicone glycol copolymer type.
It is liquid at room temperature.

It is designed to enhance pulp drainage through pulp mats by decreasing entrained air
during pulp processing and to improve dispersion and efficiency of other defoamer actives.

ICM 280B is permitted under FDA regulation 21CFR 176.210 and is dioxin-free.

ICM 280B improves the dispersion of brown stock pulp defoamers, it aids in foam control
of aqueous processes at temperatures above the cloud point of 170 degrees F, and reduces
entrained air which allows for better water drainage thus reducing paper processing cost.

ICM 280B should be use at 0.4-0.9 wt % of the defoamer to improve dispersability and drainage. 
To obtain improved defoaming efficiencies, use ICM 280B at 0.9-1.4 wt %, in combination with
mineral oils, fatty acids and silicone polymers.
